Trident Search is partnering with a leading innovator looking for a highly skilled Technical Sales Engineer to join their dynamic start-up. Our client is a mission-driven company developing cutting-edge intelligence tools that empower government agencies to combat crime and terrorism.

In this crucial role, you'll play a central part in driving the company's success. You'll leverage your technical expertise to support the sales team, crafting winning solutions for clients and ensuring a smooth transition for new users.

What You'll Do
  • Become a product guru, the internal expert on our client's game-changing solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand client requirements and translate them into winning technical presentations and demos.
  • Partner with R&D to ensure a seamless client onboarding experience.
  • Provide valuable technical guidance and best practices to clients, maximizing the effectiveness of our client's tools.
  • Contribute to the sales cycle by crafting compelling proposals and technical documentation.
  • Champion customer feedback, identifying areas for product improvement.
Who You Are
  • A seasoned technical sales or pre-sales professional (5+ years) with an ideal background in cybersecurity – specifically threat intelligence and network security.
  • A technician with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field.
  • A master communicator who can bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A resilient and positive team player who thrives under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally is a must.
  • Security clearance eligibility (details withheld) is required.
Technical Skills
  • Experience with Linux administration (installation, configuration, security, scripting)
  • Strong understanding of networking topologies and terminology
  • Familiarity with cloud computing and virtualization technologies (VMware)
  • Experience with container technology (Kubernetes) is a plus
  • Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is a plus
