Head of Threat Research

Want to reduce attack surfaces for a living? Trident Search have partnered with an ASM company that are truly breaking boundaries and 0% of their “detections” are false positives…They are looking for someone well versed in attacker techniques at a technical level to come and head up and then expand their threat Research team.
  
You will be working with an elite team of hackers and hunters and very capable leaders to build this division and will have a tremendous effect on their growing client base. Do not get mixed up with geopolitical intel, this is a technical role where you are living and breathing the life of an attacker.
  
The Role:
  

• To build and operate the threat research ninja division and solidify its capability as world leading
• Constantly carrying out offensive research to understand the dirty threat landscape and attack vectors - all with the view of protect their clients!
• Present your research to internal teams which then alter the product and goes in-front of the clients and then onto the global cyber scene in the form of white papers
• You will be promoting the clients brand through your research at a global level

The Skill Set
  

• You have 8+ years of hands-on experience in vulnerability, exploit, and in-the-wild actor-focused threat research roles.
• You have experience leading and building global Threat Research teams.
• You understand the tactics and techniques used by real-world threat actors in the wild in the context of their usage.
• Technical skills to build systems to capture and analyse in-the-wild threat actor behaviour
• A demonstrable history of analysing and publishing intelligence on in-the-wild threat actor behaviour - via advisories, blog posts and conference presentations - targeting enterprises.
• You can comfortably turn your highly-complex and sophisticated analysis and understanding of attacker behaviours into externally facing white papers, and insights - and create technical TTPs for ingestion by the engineering teams
• You are comfortable writing, producing and publishing world-class content.
• Driven by your own passion and initiative - you understand the mission, and don’t need someone to guide you.
